Support

Clickk is made by one person, so email reaches an actual human. Most problems are one of the four below, and almost all of them are the Accessibility permission.

Please include your Mac model, your macOS version, and the Clickk version from the menu. Usually answered within a couple of days.

Common fixes

No sound at all

  1. Open System Settings, Privacy and Security, Accessibility, and confirm Clickk is listed and switched on.
  2. If it is already on, switch it off and on again. macOS sometimes keeps a stale approval after an app update, and this is the single most common cause.
  3. Check the volume slider in the Clickk menu, and that the output device is the one you are actually listening to.

It went quiet on its own

  1. That is Sleep doing its job. Clickk mutes itself while your microphone or camera is in use, and the menu shows the reason on the last line.
  2. If you want sound during calls, turn Sleep off in the Options submenu.

The top row makes no sound

  1. The function and media keys are delivered by macOS as a different kind of event, and reading them needs the Accessibility approval to be fully in place.
  2. Quit Clickk, remove it from the Accessibility list with the minus button, launch it again, and approve the prompt fresh.

A specific key is silent

  1. Some kits were recorded key by key and a few keys were never recorded. Clickk falls back to a default sample, so if one key sounds different that is why.
  2. Switching to another kit will confirm it in a second. If a key is silent in every kit, that is a bug worth an email.

Removing Clickk

Quit it from the menu, drag it from your Applications folder to the Trash, then remove the leftover entry in System Settings, Privacy and Security, Accessibility. Preferences live in a single file that goes with the app.

Requests and bugs

Feature requests are genuinely welcome, especially for switch kits worth recording. If you are reporting a bug, the most useful thing you can send is what you were doing in the ten seconds before it happened.

Everything else is probably on the FAQ page.
